The Unstoppable

Servant Leadership is humble leadership…But, it also must entail one more thing that we sometimes give a negative connotation…ARROGANCE!  Yes, you have to a little in order to be an effective leader.  You have to believe that you can accomplish things that no one else has accomplished.  You must believe that you are the perfect person to plow through the forest.  Most importantly, your team must believe that they can follow you into the darkness and you will lead them out safely.

This saying was actually inspired from a very unusual source…Spongebob Squarepants (yes, I’ll admit it, my son is not the only fan of the show.)  Patrick Star once exclaimed at the top of his lungs…

You must behave as if no obstacle can stop your progress.  The vision that you have crafted and forged for your team, your organization, or your family must come to fruition.  If you maintain your Servant Leadership qualities, but also add a spice of arrogance, your team will follow your lead.

To close, I saw this tweet posted the other day…

I wish the unthinkable, I dream the impossible, but I believe, which makes me unstoppable.
