The Enemy Within

We face challenges on a daily basis from sources that are out of our control.  However, some of the biggest obstacles may come from a source that we can not avoid and we must live with…US!  We will develop that dream, but not fulfill it.  We will aspire to become great, but live in mediocrity.  We want to have the best, but settle for just OK.  The biggest contributor to our success or failure is our our personal achievement.  But, unfortunately, we fight internal battles to an enemy that only exists in our mind.

Your greatest enemy are not the folk around you, but your greatest enemy is within you. – S.W. Kinloch

Do any of these thoughts sound familiar??

1.  I want to own a business, but I don’t have the money so I can’t do it.

2.  I can’t go to church because I’m not perfect, and everyone there will look down on me.

3.  I love to sing, but I am too embarrassed to sing in front of people.

4.  I can take on more responsibility at work, but I am comfortable with where I am.

These are the roadblocks that we put in place in our mind.  Once these potholes have been established, trying to cover them up can be difficult.

Well….today is the day to fill them in, knock down those walls, and start living!  Many people will say as a greeting…

I am just living the dream.

Today is the day to actually start doing it.  Don’t be your own worst enemy.  If you want to own a business, develop an plan and work your plan.  If you want to sing, sing to your hearts content.  God has already planned your destiny, so share your gift with the world.  Your gift may (and will) inspire someone else to live their life to the fullest.

Start today by:

1.  Remove the barriers from your mind and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

2.  Start planning!

3.  Work your plan!

Have you been caught in a rut and can not get out?  Were you the cause of the rut?  How did you pull yourself out and pull it together?
