“Get mad, then get over it”

Get mad, then get over it. – Colin Powell

Easier said than done for most of us.  As a leader, we are always challenged which causes us to lose our cool – someone does not follow direction, situation goes amiss, someone does not live up to their commitment, etc.   But, as a leader, it is your responsibility to keep your cool. You are the rudder AND the sail that steers the ship.

Keep your focus on what is important – meeting the objectives and building your team.

During difficult situations, remember to:

1.  Get mad

2.  Get over it

3.  Get busy

Did a situation bring you to the brink of anger?  If so, how did you handle it?  How did you keep your team focused on the vision?
